Ministries
You are a minister in the church and in the world!
The Episcopal Church sees all persons as ministers by virtue of the promises we make at baptism. We are constantly seeking ways to make our daily lives - both work at home and in other places - a ministry to others. Members of Christ Church are very active in outreach to the community, and in supporting the church's worship and educational offerings.
There are many opportunities for ministry both at the church building, and in the community:
Our Hospitality Committee organizes many special events during the year as well as our weekly coffee hour. It is a busy committee, and we would love to have you join us!
Our Annual Coat Drive was just completed with 275 coats being given to the needy in greater Blaine. We have lots of fun, but most of all we fill a great void. Many, many hands are needed for this ministry, please come help us!
Ushers - Everyone looks forward to being welcomed and recognized when you walk into "your" church. If you are new or visiting, it is rewarding to be recognized and asked to join us for coffee.
Our ushers try very hard to make your visit with us something to remember.
Lay Readers read scripture and lead prayers during worship.
Habitat for Humanity just built a house in Blaine - with our help!
Blaine Schools now have a dozen new backpacks, and many new materials for students who needed them. We loved supplying this!
When you visit Christ Church, please ask about the many opportunities to serve others.
